Sunday March 21st

Today we had a lesson on Father's Blessings. We talked about all the times that it is appropriate to ask for a blessing from your father and I encouraged the girls to think about asking their fathers for blessings when they need them.

Heart Attack

For our class activity we "Heart Attacked" a few people in the ward. What a fun way to do service. The people who were attacked let us know how grateful they were to the beehives for thinking of them. What a great group of girls!

New Beginnings

New Beginnings is coming up soon ! We are excited! We hope all your parents will be able to come!

Human Foosball

Tonight's activity was combined and the Young Men were in charge. We all had a great time playing human foosball. There were no major injuries just a few balls to the face. We had yummy cookies for dessert and practiced the new Strong and Courageous song.

Finally a PICTURE!

Finally a picture! We got a picture of the Beehives that were there on Tuesday night at our activity. What CUTE girls! For our activity we made marble heart Valentine magnets with cute poems on them in honor of Valentines day. I wanted to get pictures of us making them but it was just too busy and I ran out of time. Afterwards we practiced our song for New Beginnings, "Strong and Courageous." It was sounding GREAT! I am excited for them to sing it at New Beginnings! I'm so impressed with what great singers all the girls are and how willing they are to participate. We missed everyone who wasn't able to come and hope to see you on Sunday and at our next activity. We will be practicing the song again on Sunday so everyone try to be there!

Be Strong and of a good Courage!

Okay so I forgot to bring my camera to YW Tuesday night! So no pictures yet ;( We had a fun night! The new Theme was introduced: Be Strong and of a good courage, Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord they God is with thee withersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9. The girls all memorized this scripture...so that means that they should still have it memorized right ;)? We talked about what it means to have GOOD COURAGE. Some examples given were to have courage to stand up for what you believe in, and to have the courage to dress modestly. Then we put Be Strong and of a good Courage vinyl lettering on a 12x12 tile for everyone to put in their rooms to remind them of the theme throughout the year. Thanks for the yummy treats Sister Fox!

Sunday, January 10th

Today we had a great lesson taught by Sister Fox. It was called- Spiritual gifts. We talked about what spiritual gifts are and read about them in D&C 46: 7-29. We discussed the different Spiritual Gifts that Heavenly Father can give to us through the Holy Ghost, and how each of us has different gifts. Sister Fox asked the girls to think about what spiritual gifts they have, and if they didn't know, then try to discover what those gifts are and develop them through living righteously.
"Neglect not the Gift that is in thee." -1 Timothy 4:14
